Yehh I think real duration shows up now with a bit of luck, because earlier today I uploaded some standard H263 vids and some have the faked duration and some has real duration:
    Faked duration: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V1z3Wt-YAlA
    Real duration: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AuIFbKoHqBo

How do you make a H264 video? I've been able to upload 480x360 HD videos, but I don't know the H264 format.

    Can you tell me?

Firstly, thanks cjwcorp for explaining your method, many people keep it for themselves and never write such step-by-step instruction, thanks again. I'm going to try it soon.

Secondly, where can I find MULTIVIDEO upload?

  6. Is it possible to use other programs instead of Vegas and Windows Movie Maker?

Vegas doesn't let me use XVID, and if i change the fourCC it doesn't let me use the audio in it

WMM makes my videos not good quality =/

Though I would love to learn how to.

If 720p is possible, than why not 1080p? 1920x1200 resolution

What program do you have to use to try H264 out?
Jesus Christ... 1080p on YouTube? You've gotta be kidding me. A video like that would be completely un-streamable.

Frifox and some others using H264+"some other tricks" in final Flash file (FLV) which FFMPEG from ver 13778 able to handle .

No Point converting to MP4 then upload to YouTube-as the file will get converted but if you want your final video to become quite good (quite acceptable quality) after being converted by YouTube, you can upload MP4 source file decoded with H264.

Pls Forgive Me if I'm Wrong here..(no intention at all means..)

It's not THEIR intention to keep it as a secret - but I think I understand why they choose not to expose..why? because some of the readers are Lazy to read, learn or maybe not up to level of FLV-Hexing etc knowledge.. As such same question keep repeating itself on and on (Deja Vu ) and they getting fed-up, tiring to answer such question again and again...

Same as this -> "MULTIVIDEO" ???

BTW you can find it on Youtube when you uploading file..Single Mode or Multi Files Upload which means (Multivideo) uploading... 8) -

Note: YouTube will ask u to install Youtube uploader 1st time u click on the Multi Files Upload link..

  14. I've come to a predicament using spartacomp's awesome Teamwork method:

    I used the following:

    Source 1024x768 'perfectly' captured AVI
    default.flv = 1024x768
    bat file settings = 1024x768, 25FPS, 100Keyframes, 96 kbps audio

    end result:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EjBTUaCcTos

I don't get why it's still 'low quality'? It seems as if youtube's 'watch in high quality' is better than my results :-s

Am I doing something wrong? In fact, the video only goes through ONE conversion, and that's the .bat file conversion to flv.
Is there a way to increase bitrate?

you have to use avisynth if you want to go in VirtualDub direction... but looking at your experience, you are better off with using Sony Vegas

your Default.flv has to be of a similar resolution to your source video.

Thanks. I've already figured out the multi upload, I was not able to find it as I thought it would be somewhere in "My profile"...

Anyway I've uploaded a video with the default.flv bind method, using the multi upload, and it got live on the first try. Thanks for this tip whoever posted it.

you already posted that on the previous page... if no one answered, then there is a reason for that.

btw, vmutube isnt meant to make videos HQ anyways, so why bother... just upload in any format and provide "&fmt=18" link in your video description.

TheGoldStar, for H263 you can use almost anything that converts to .FLV, and for H264 you can use On2 Flix Pro, MeGUI, or alot of other programs that I'm too lazy to list.
