With special thanks to Zappa_Engine for motivating me and the latest insights. (and to freakydeakyalive as well )

    Greetings,

    Spartacomp
the audioformat you say in instructions is not in the list in sony vegas pro 8b build 217,
56 kBit/s, 24,000 Hz, Stereo is the best in the list on MPEG Layer-3,
and "x264vfw - H.264/MPEG-4 AVC encoder" isnt in the list either?
can i download these codecs and get them into vegas? if so, how do i get them into vegas?

    thanks

I suggest you download the Fraunhofer Radium MP3 codec 1.263.

Guys as well know theres been problem with the C243 method as the message 'Failed (unable to convert video file)' after a video is uploaded...but re-uploading or a 3rd time did the trick for me and all fine! But just now Ive uploaded a vid (<350kbps) 6 times now and still get the message 'Failed (unable to convert video file)'...kind of annoying

lol i had that message pop up like 10 times (Failed, unable to convert)... interestingly i've noticed if i upload to PRIVATE it will upload just fine first time, but if i upload to PUBLIC it gives that error message... coincidence, luck, or what? :P

lol how many vids have you tried that on? Does it stay fine after you've set it to PUBLIC? Im uploading a vid on private now and see how it goes

EDIT: Youre right Frifox, my video on PRIVATE became Live like 20 seconds after it was uploaded lol wonder why PRIVATE helps?

i made a test video now, 7 seconds long, 640x480, progressive, 25 fps, about 1000 kbps, mp3 audio, 64 kbps..
    (not in vegas)

    used: 01. Video 0.30 to 0.45 min. - Tot.Bitr. 910 Kbps.bat,
64 audio bitrate, vid resolution 640x480, framerate 25 and keyframe interval 150..

first time it said failed, second time it worked fine...
only gone one hour but its still HQ

edit: uploaded as private both times..

made another one now, 1 minute video, same settings, first one is still processing, second one got live after a minute,
but it got encoded to LQ and the resolution is messed up, it shows the video shrinked to 75% or so, in the upper left corner.....

    trying again

edit: same thing happened again haha

encoding an avi with speededit and using the "TeamWork Method"..
got one more working.. sometimes it works and sometimes it dont..
but it doesnt show the correct time on this last one, source video is 59 seconds, youtube show 03:03..

    trying another one now, 720x576..

in the teamwork method, the output bitrates are, not change-able, right?
and you cant output a custom resolution?

i tryed one at 720x576 also and the quality got better, but the AR is off,
its not 1,33 as the youtube window is, its 1.25 so the sides of it is cut off..
    720x540 would be better

Great it works for you! If you play your video it most likely shows the correct time, however it's possible there might be some different outcomes. At least you have a HQ stereo video with a nice thumbnail.
Please present the link to your video.

You haven't used the right resolution default flv. It must be a default with the same resolution size as the resolution size you enter when creating your flv. Also make sure you have the values right. Please carefully read the instructions and take your time. If you can't produce what you want, PM me and I will guide you through the process.

    Hi, guys.
I have been a silent reader for a month, but today I should say this.
I followed Spartacomp's instruction one by one.
After a few encoding failure, I could upload hq videos. It works beautifully.

Youtube often rejects the same video.
So don't be disappointed, and try one more time. I uploaded them public.

This is my YT link. 640x480 video from 3rd batch file.
    http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=D8Sy5CWSzsg
    Never mind the content. Haha.

The 'teamwork' method is very easy to use. I love it.
    Thank you soooo much, Spartacomp.

I tried to use Imutube+FLV Reader, but every time the video gets messed up (no audio+bad picture @ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ejXuppVR_rw ), can anyone help?

    Hi Stberry11,

Great to see it working for you as well! Great quality video! I recently discovered why sometimes the time isn't correctly displayed when viewing the video. Instead of editing 9 cells, edit 8 cells (counting from right to left). This will work, but unfortunately it also increases the chances for a "failed, unable to convert" message. But you could play around with that a little bit.

Edit: For others. I just discovered in the instructions it says custom default flv in TeamWork folder is 640x480. Actually it's 720x576. Sorry for that, but just having a good look at it, one would have figured it out themselves anyway. Furthermore, if you encode your video to let's say resolution 1280x720, you should use the default 1280x720 and vice versa with other resolutions and make sure your source video's duration is within the duration range of the bat/batch file of your choice, otherwise you will not produce a proper thumbnail. 8)

can one modify a batchfile to make the bitrate higher?
1280x720 at 1000 kbps makes pretty bad quality for me..
(unless its still images, then the quality is great)

but the teamwork method works now for me unless the processing fails
just that weird thing with the resolution but i guess i used the wrong default like you said

No! One can't without a proper thumbnail in somewhere of the midst of the video or without a: "failed, unable to convert" message... period. Be happy with what I gave to you for free.

No, it doesn't. Use your intelligence to lower the framerate and audiodatarate to an acceptable video quality with proper thumbnail and that still plays HQ in full screen!!

what .avi codec should i use in sony vegas when i render the movie then?

    i dont have this: "x264vfw - H.264/MPEG-4 AVC encoder"
under "Video for Windows (*.avi)" like it say in the Instructions!!.txt so i cant render as that..

    i tryed with "MainConcept AVC/AAC (*.mp4)"
    1280x720, 14,5mb file, 1 minute 2 seconds, terminator 4 trailer..
great quality when i watch the rendered file in quicktime, and then i used the teamwork method,
    first i tryed 64, 1280x720, 25 fps and 150.. bad quality
then i tryed 48, 1280x720, 10 fps and 150, somewhat better quality, but not good at all, and not watchable as its only 10 fps

can only get 1280x720 videos with still images to look good

Just use regular settings for now. Create your flv with 16fps, Audio 70 kbps and 78 keyframe interval.

hey spartacomp, can you keep these individualized tech support to PM's? if its something that affects everyone and worth mentioning in public, feel free to keep it in this thread, but other than that sticking to PMs would keep this thread cleaner... thanks!

You should not tell that to me okay?? Tell that to the ones that are not PM-ing me. Thank you very much!! In the meantime I decide to do whatever I want to do. And if anyone wants my support, I'll give it to them as much as I can.
