You HAVE to hex edit?? I don't know anything about HEX. So if the resolution is 1024x576, its over 350 kbps?

Won't it work if I save my RAW file in Sony Vegas as 1024x576?

Are there any HEX tutorials for uploading in 1024x576?
well, what do you change in your final FLV file to make the bitrate able to go over 350kbps?

I'm experimenting with an FLV at the moment; I'll send you a PM if anything noteworthy happens...

Hello all, I am a trance music producer and have been using IMutube to upload my music to youtube, until they started to re-encode every video. I am not looking for mega-quality, video resolution does not matter, the only thing that matters is audio quality. The bitrate of uploaded videos is well below 320k.

I know this thread is mainly for HQ high resolution videos, but is the closest one I found. I tried "FLV reader" but the video got messed up after upload too. I'm afraid I don't know much about these things.

Anyway, can I find someone who would be so kind to point me to the right direction for uploading "picture videos" with high quality audio streams? Thanks in advance

Guys as we all know the maximum limit on uploading vids on Youtube is 11:00 (Unless you had a Director account some time ago) but I came across a video which was glitched most of the time but it had a length of 19:11 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ruo0ybTf43g
Made me wonder if theres a possible way to hack/hex etc a video to allow longer videos to upload? Frifox did it a while ago so you never know...

@ rajman, that video seems to be under 11 minutes with a lot of glitched/repeating/studdering parts. No idea why it's like that though, I'd say zappa would have the best chance at understanding it.

you're right on this one... i have 7.1 sound card, so i borrowed my friends 5.1 speakers and tested it out. locally, it played surround. on youtube, it was downmixed to 2 channels

oh well, i wont be needing 5.1 sound in my uploads anyways so its okay that flash downmixes the audio

There is no easy way to hex edit the duration unless you know exactly what an FLV tag looks like and how to search for it in hex. To explain that would be to explain the whole syntax of the flv file structure, and Adobe does a fine job at that.

I think it would be easier to just append another flv tag with the duration of 659999 (max timestamp before 11 minutes). Here I pre-generated an audio pad with this timestamp in my program, and then hand-edited in the final tagsize to make it a valid file to append to any FLV file.

    http://flvbuilder.googlecode.com/files/audio_pad_659999.flvtag.and.tagsize

Download this file and run this DOS command:
    copy /b your_video.flv + audio_pad_659999.flvtag.and.tagsize patched_video.flv

Well, enjoy. It's not the total solution but one part of the whole solution that my program will do automatically when it is updated and released.

My guess is that there was something with the original (.wmv, .avi, etc.) file at ~35sec that caused YT encoding process to partially hang. It continuously encoded the same ~0.2 seconds of data that was last buffered. For some reason, it gave up at 19:11.

It'd be interesting to get a look at that original video. Someone beg the guy. Thanks.

I heard that if you hex edit the 2nd from last audio timestamp that the video will show 11:00 on Youtube...but when played it shows the actual video length! Thats what I cant seem to do

  26. Hi guys!

Is there any way to make the streaming bar 'scrollable' in an one-still-image-stereo-video (like frifox did in this one)?

I've used this cool method... but every time you click over the time bar the video starts again (and it's quite annoying) (example)

    Thanks!
