Sorry if this is the wrong website for help.

I just bought a Sony Handycam DVD508. The only input is USB.

Is there any way to burn my old VHS home movies onto this camera or do I need to go get another camera with RCA inputs?

You would be better off getting a dvd recorder.

The USB input is for DIGITAL video, not analogue. I assume it works as if you are using it as an external drive that will only accept video files (presumably in a compatible format). According to Sony ( http://www.sonystyle.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10551&stor...8&Dept=cameras ) it doesn't have analogue inputs. In fact, looking at the spec, it appears to have very little going for it! You'd have been better off buying a MiniDV camcorder (or, as Krispy Kritter says, a DVD recorder).
