Can anyone tell me if the LG LDA-831 DVD player is All Region, I've been getting mixed feedback, I'm wondering if it'll play store bought DVD from England?

According to the manual, the region coding is marked on a label on the back of the player. It will have the region number (likely 2 if it is from Europe) or ALL.

Have you tried the code for the LG LDA 830 instead? Let me know as I am considering getting this player too specifically to watch all the PAL R2 DVDs I brought to Canada.

Unless your televisions are able to handle PAL video...OR...this player can also convert PAL to NTSC on the fly....I think you are asking the wrong question about this player. England is PAL format.

Thank you heck54.
I am asking the right question. I want to find out if the LG LGA-831 is multi-region like its sibling, the LGA-830. I have previously owned many, many multi-region DVD players and have never experienced any problems playing PAL R2/R4 DVDs.

I answered my own question! I bought an LG LDA-831 today and applied the same hack as the LDA-830. All works perfectly. Details are at https://www.videohelp.com/dvdhacks/lg-lda-831/8698.
