I've installed Mac The Ripper, FFmpeg and the three extra bits, but there is a problem. My friend DOESN'T have an intel chip Mac, and I'm wondering if this is the bit that's playing up. I read older posts and tried to follow the lead to another site, but whatever was there then isn't now. \ Many thanks for any sugestions / Migs

  2. Have you tried the same source files on your friend's Mac?

If so, then the likely difference is a bug in the Intel version, but not with the Intel chip itself.

You might want to trash the app and reinstall. Go here and follow the instructions:
    http://ffmpegx.com/download.html

You should delete the library/application support/ffmpegX folder before doing the reinstall, so everything is clean.

I have a ppc G4 and the app works great. The account you install from MUST be admin level, because the installer uses SUDO.

I think there are different binaries for PPC and Intel. Probably best to doenload the proper version for your CPU.
