  1. I have some .Wmv files that i cannot fast forward or jump to ......
I know they have to be indexed and i have several tools that can index the files (ex. Windows Media Encoder) but it takes soooo long time, 2 hours or so.

Does anybody know a faster way so that i can fast forward or just jump to the part of the video i want to ???

    Thx in advance (-:

Download this, place Asfbin.exe and Reindex.bat in same folder as your WMV files and double click Reindex.bat to run.

    asfbin1.6.1.703.zip

    Hello Friends,

Actually i have tried the given software and somehow it is not fixing all the WMV files I have. I tried it on one of my clips around 300MB in size and it created another files with the prefix "ReIndexed~same filename.ext" . But when I tried to play the similar file in JetAudio or Windows Media Player. It is still not seekable , the index has not been created properly or inaccessible for some reason.

Any other help is highly appreciated.

    Regards.

Sometimes it won't work. It depends on your original source file. Sometimes you need a different software program to fix the problem.
