Okay here goes. I have burned many vcd's using nero. They will play on my PC dvd player. But when attempting to play them on my home DVD player, I get disc error. I thought it was my player, but I purchased a VCD and it played without problem. So my question is. Is there a problem with burning a disc using nero on WinXP or is it the disc itself.

hi,
it depends on the DVD player you have. check wether they have compatiblity with CDR playing. if it is sony most dont play CDR's. try to use a CDRW. most dvd player palyes CDRW

That blue or green comment is pretty much way off. The easiest way to see what your player can play is by reading the compatibility guide to the left. Most DVD players can play vcd's..............but they have to be on cdrw's.........NOT CDR. Some players do play on CDR's, but your best bet is a cdrw
