I got a new DVD of Circue du Soleil, and sometimes I get the PUOP symbol (red circle with a slash through it) when I try to FF (fast forward), pause, or rewind; sometimes they work as they should. As examples, if I start out playing the DVD normally, and try to pause or FF after a few minutes, I get the PUOP symbol. But if I hit FF or pause at the beginning of the video, they work just fine. If I then FF to several minutes into the video, they still work; I can pause, FF, rewind, whatever I want. But then, after several more minutes of play, if I try to pause or FF, I get the symbol. If I then get mad and start pushing a bunch of buttons, they will suddenly start working again. But, when I say the buttons don't work, it's not that they don't do anything, it's that I get the PUOP symbol.
It doesn't have anything to do with a specific scene either: At the same point in the video, the keys will work one time and not work the next. This happens with the main video and also with the "extra features."
I copied the disk with DVD Shrink, removing PUOPs, and it happens with the copy also. The only difference with the copy is that I'm able to skip the "FBI" warning at the beginning.
This doesn't happen with other store-bought videos. Can anyone tell me what's going on?
    Thanks.
