    Many thanks!

Is there any advantage to using LeakKernelDeint over any other deinterlacer?

  2. Code:
    MPEG2Source("E:\1981\VIDEO_TS\project.d2v")
    SmoothDeinterlace(tff=true)
    SmoothFPS(60)
This is very slightly smoother than the original video but not what I would call smooth. And there's no reason it should be much smoother. I wonder if you really have a different problem.

How are you judging the smoothness of your video files? When you watch the original DVD on your TV do you see 5 little jerks every second? Or does it look like the video is vibrating 25 times a second? Is your TV a standard definition interlaced CRT? Or a progressive LCD or somesuch?

My TV is a standard definition CRT, yeah. On the TV, it seems to jerk every 5 seconds. Definitely not with every frame.

By the way, when I loaded the actual VOB file into DGIndex and tried to save the project, I received a message that the Field order transition was incorrect and asked me if I wanted it fixed. Of course, I clicked yes.

I don't know whether that's the field transition throughout the video, or whether it's in isolated places...

A jerk every 5 seconds? That is not the problem we've been addressing. That is some kind of timecode or multiplexing problem.

Not every 5 seconds sorry, it's been a long day.

It's been jerking as you saw in the first video I posted.
