I have a hybrid analog/digital TV tuner (HP ExpressCard Digital/Analog TV Tuner) which is picked up by Windows Media Encoder. The problem is that it is only picking up the analog part of the card. Is there something I need to do for Windows Media Encoder to pick up the digital half of the card?

Can you view the digital video on the screen? I'm assuming a laptop and Vista. If the card comes with capture software does that record the digital video?

My HDTV card outputs a MP2 transport stream for digital video. I've never tried to capture it with other programs. I just use the card's software. It makes a very large file, about 100MB/minute. But there's not much HD content available here from OTA broadcasts, so I rarely capture it. I don't use WMP, but VLC plays it back with no problems.

    And welcome to our forums.
