  1. I currently have 20gig of uncompressed video sitting on my computer that i need to compress. I have always liked divx however i noticed when i converted some videos to divx (4.01) i could not play them properly in premier.

I need to convert all my videos to a format that premier will recognize so i can make compilations of multiple videos and at the same time have them run fairly quick. Should i convert everthing to mpeg>??

if so whats the best program to do this and what settings should be used? i dont know a whole lot about mpeg, i have always used divx! thanks for any help...i need my hd back! :D

  2. can't you set divx as a plugin for premiere? you can always encode to mpeg with tmpgenc but for 20 GB that's gonna take a while.

  3. Wow 20gb.

If u user premiere, get a cce plugin or frameserve >> cce. If you want mpeg/vcd/svcd.

premiere should load divx codec from windows.

  4. Premier picks up the divx plugin...however i find when editing and putting many divx clips together things take much longer and the sound is all distorted! Im curious to test out things with some clips compressedin mpeg.

Where can i get this "cce plugin or frameserve >> cce" ??? is it basically a plugin for premier to compress mpeg's and read them type a thing??

Ya its 20gig probably 50 video clips or so, i need to reduce it and still be able to work with it!
