What is a good program that will allow me to encode MKV's to DVD's where it will encode the video and both audio files at the same time and have high quality? I tried using convertxtodvd but the outlines of some of the characters are a bit jagged and when I extracted the audio and video from the MKV's and used TMPGenc xpress the video was fine but the audio and the video were different lengths.

You will - they are both based around ffmpeg. This makes them fast, but ultimately very similar in quality of output. FAVC uses HCEnc. It is slower, but the quality will be higher.

Caveat : quality is dependent on source to a larger degree. If the source quality is low to medium then the output will also be low to medium in quality - garbage in = garbage out.

Thank you for coming to the party 18 months late. I suspect that the OP is well and truly finished this project by now.

If only the Internet was some sort of digital archive, free from the constraints of a time limit, where additions and updates can be made for the benefit of later viewers. Oh wait...

I am one of those "later viewers" who benefited from the additions and updates.

    Thanks all!
