As the title says, my new version of convertxtodvd takes 3x longer to convert than my previous version.
Why is this? Would i be better reverting back to the old version? Are they not supposed to make it better with each version?

I would be grateful if someone could shed some light on this. For me, time is a factor.

What versions are you talking about, and what source.

ConvertXtoDVD is certainly slower than DivxtoDVD, but then the quality is better, so it's a fair trade off. There have been no appreciable speed changes in version 2 of ConvertXtoDVD releases.

That said, some sources will convert much slower than others. I can encode a Divx/Xvid source in much faster than real time - often 40 - 50 fps - however some AVC/AAC source will encode as slow as 3 - 4 fps.
