I recently upgraded my computer to capture HuffyUV uncompressed video with the PDI Deluxe (sweetspot) card, previously I was using a dv capture box. I'm impressed with the improvement in color and contrast but the image in the video frame is not well centered like it was before. It is noticably shifted up and slightly to the left. On my own videos, this basically means that some of the top is cropped off and lost.
From Super Smash Bros. Melee (using s-video)
DV capture
PDI uncompressed (noticed the image is no longer centered within the black frame)
From one of my own videos (TRV 75 Hi8 camera using s-video cable)
DV
PDI
For more information, I had other questions about capturing with the PDI card that I posted here. http://www.originaltrilogy.com/forum/messageview.cfm?catid=12&threadid=7640&STARTPAGE=3
Most of them have already been answered except for the thing about this image shift.
