  1. when i convert a divx file to vcd it converts ok but i get no sound;but when played on media player picture and sound ok;pressed on video and audio on right hand side;can someone tell me in easy term what needs to be done so i get the picture and sound thanks as allways.

    ps and i have a film that converted ok but 10 min from end there is a little glich in the film and the sound just keeps looping but film carries on as normal is there a way to solve this as the film and sound is there till the last 10min's and you get the same sound over and over again? plz help on this thanks as allways.

    Which one plays ok in the media player, DivX or the converted VCD?

    Best way to convert DivX to VCD / SVCD / whatever is to first save the DivX audiotrack as uncompressed wav (Virtual Dub) and then select this separate wav file as the VCD audio source.

    better nog use an external .wav file because of lip-sync issues.

    if the audio of the DivX aint working you can better use virtualdub to correct this:

    - set the video to 'direct stream copy'
    - set the audio to 'full processing mode'
    - save the .avi to another name

    now you have sound when converting to mpeg
