  1. I have an ATI Radeon AIW and am trying to convert a bunch of all videos I have from VHS to VCD. I purchased the Sima Video CopyMaster, but it doesn't do the job that great.

I was looking at DataVideo's Time Base Correctors and wondering if anyone had used one and if they worked better.

    Thanks in advance

  2. It won't be better than VHS copy.

  3. The CopyMaster stabilizes some of my videos, but only a very few of them. For some videos, it does get rid of the extreme jumpiness, but still has some slight jumpiness.

For other videos, it didn't look like it did anything. It has a signal indicator and even when that was at full, it would not always provide a good picture.

I thought a time base corrector would provide better stablilization than the copymaster (it costs more so should be better right).

Anyone tried the $30.00 models? They're supposed to be updated to restore DVD as well as tape. They're basically a small box, with a battery (or AC adaptor) plug, and two RCA Jacks.

I had one of these before I smashed it inadvertently while moving, and it worked great for the longest time. Just wondering if they've made improvements over the years....

And are you sure you can buy a "Video Clarifier" at Best Buy? Seems odd to me... maybe because it only handles "Tape --> Tape", or "Tape --> Capture Card", no DVD?...
