If it is using ffmpeg for encoding, then that means faac which is far from the best aac encoder. Better to use Nero's free encoder. Should accept input from stdin, so you can pipe.

Thanks for replying. Now I can convert to aac format but there's another problem. When I burn on a cd using nero(nero digital audio),the burning process is successful but when i play it on a cd player or on the pc,the songs arent there except for a 36-seconds silence!Im trying to burn songs as aac bcuz nero says that more songs can be burned than any normal audio cd if the songs are in aac format. So,does anybody know how to burn aac auido files so that the cd can be played on any cd player?

You can't. CD audio is a standard (Redbook) and you have to meet that standard. AAC is an audio compression that is not compatible with standard CD audio playback. Yes, it allows you to put more audio on a CD. So does MP3. However these are burned as data discs, not CD audio discs. The player must be able to read data discs, recognise that the content is AAC3, and decode it for playback. Many players can do this for MP3, but I don't know of any that can do it for AAC.

  5. Some newer car stereos support AAC.
I recommend converting to MP3@192kbps because MP3 is widely supported, you can get ~120 songs on a CD.
BTW:you have to use Nero Showtime to listen to Nero AAC.
