I just purchased this panel from newegg
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16811998811

and i now have a problem. The case i have is too large to stretch the attached wires over to the necessary peripheries. I would like to know, is there 1) longer cords i can but i.e. firewire, sata, usb cords to place internally, or 2) is there like a connector board which i can place midway between the panel and other pci devices i may use????

I hope im saying this question right.

search newegg for longer firewire, sata, usb cables, they have them up to about 10 feet long. most open wire cables can easily be cut and spliced with additional wire to make them longer.

Yes, you should be able to get longer cables. Can you relocate the panel to a lower slot? Or will that help any? You may find extensions for your existing cables, but they will probably be too long. Most extensions are made long as that's what people need most times.

Some USB or FireWire cards have internal connections, but they may be a different style.

Next question, with those internal usb or firewire cards, can i find any that only have the internal connections, i really dont need to use the back of my pc, however if i can get cards that have like three or four internal connections a peice that would be great???

Not commonly. For USB and FireWire add on PCI cards, they usually only have one internal connection. For SATA, most of the connections are internal with a few with external connectors. And as mentioned, not all have standard internal connections, but they may include an adapter cable.

An option I've used with older computers with no front USB connectors is a 30" USB extension cable and bring it around to the front of the computer. It makes it easier to plug devices in than to move the computer each time for rear access.

When u say not commonly, do u mean they are available, just hard to find? If so where can i look?

I meant that they do have a single connection for USB or FireWire, usually not more. I'm not aware if there are USB or FireWire cards with multiple internal connections, but that would seem unusual. Do you need more than one internal connector for each type of adapter?

You can get a combo card like this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16815108107 It has both a USB and FireWire single internal connector. (BTW, I'm not suggesting this card, it's only an example. There are likely other similar cards that will work as well or better.)

NewEgg has a fair selection of both types of PCI cards. They also have similar for the PCI-E interface. Even if you don't purchase the card from them, the extensive photos should help with selecting what you need.

If you mean USB/FireWire PCI cards with only internal connections, I don't know of any. SATA cards would commonly only have internals, but not USB/FireWire.
