Hi all!
First post!![]()
I recently got myself an iriver Clix2, for which I am trying to convert divX videos. I am ripping my existing DVDs using the iriverter program, but when I try it with divX movies, the sound is just a wall of static. I've just started using Avidemux, but for a video newbie, the whole thing is baffling! (although I'm learning a lot reading through here!)
looking at the specs in Nautilus, for a DVD rip that plays fine:
Video
Dimensions: 320x240
Codec: ISO MPEG-4 (XviD, ffmpeg)
Framerate: 15 fps (Clix2 is capable of 30fps, so this could be increased)
Bitrate: N/A
Audio
Bitrate: 128kbps
Codec: MPEG layer 2/3
Sample rate: 44100Hz
Channels: 0 channels
anybody with any suggestions as to how I can setup Avidemux to output divX movies to this format, or can anyone suggest alternative (linux) software to do this?
Thanks!!
Shaq

Hi,
Try WinFF, it is cross platform and will use ffmpeg to convert pretty much anything, it comes with several presets and there are more on the forum there (www.biggmatt.com). I am currently working with the developer on presets for the next release, so if you can't get it to work as is maybe I can help you.
