I'll be in Philly all next week for a business conference.
My schedule will be pretty flexible, and it's looking like I'll have all day Monday and all day Friday free.
Not too demanding in the mornings, so staying out late won't be too much of a problem either.

Now obviously there is a ton of historical stuff there like Betsy Ross house, the Liberty Bell.
I'm looking for fun stuff too.
    Amusement parks, "gentlemens" clubs, etc.

I hate sports and I do not dance, so sporting events and clubs are really a waste of my time & $$$.

    Any tips?

    TIA!!!

Eat cheesesteaks. Get stuck in New Jersey. Have drinks aboard the Moshulu after seeing the boats at the landing. Get stuck in New Jersey. Run up the stairs to the library like Rocky. Get stuck in New Jersey.

  7. Check out South Street from Front Street to Broad Street (Front st. and Broad st. are cross streets). There is plenty to do there. You can also check out the Art Museum, Independence Hall, and Betsy Ross' house if you are culturally inclined.

If you decide to dine on a cheesesteak, check out Geno's in South Philly (9th and Wharton St.) or Jim's Steaks at 4th and South St.

If you like Italian food go to Criniti's Restaurant and Pizzeria. It's located at 2611 South Broad St. in South Philly. The pizza is only fair, but the entrees are excellent.

Good luck, and watch out for stray bullets. The murder rate in Philadelphia is very high right now. Just be careful where you go in Philly. The neighborhoods change with the blink of an eye.

Just curious, are we gonna get daily up dates?

Are we gonna have to pass the hat to bail a buddy out of jail?

These vacation threads are useless with out pics! I got to get a little pocket point and shoot camera for all of the stupid shit that I see in a week. (And hope that nobody is watching me too closely)

    yah, no shit....
it's upper 90's to low 100's at home and hasn't gotten above lower 70's here because of some freak-ass storm system.
    cold and rainy! boo!
I haven't had much time to do the touristy stuff during the day -- this is a business trip for me.
the old lady has been screwing around all day, but she likes chick stuff, so her pics are boring...

went to Rick's for a cheese steak (he is Pat's grandson). GOOD SHIT! We're gonna check out Pat's, Geno's or Jim's tonite depending on which is closer &/or still open.

Friday we drove down to D.C. to visit my best friend. It was freakin' HOT! Saw some sights, got a $100.00 parking ticket, and did some drinking.

As for the cheesesteaks, we tried Rick's, Geno's and Pat's.
Rick's was by far the best. Pat's and Geno's were OK, but nothing special.
