What I want to do is create a simple Linux box out of my PS3, just using it for internet browsing and Divx/Xvid/mp3 playback.
I have tried PSubuntu, with limited success. After updating the kernel to enable Wi-Fi, I find it impossible to set the screen resolution to anything higher than 480p, I tried changing kboot.conf etc, and just get a blank screen with every setting I try.
I have tried Yellow Dog Linux v5.01 and while the screen resolution is no problem, I just cant get Wi-Fi to work (LAN cable works fine). Also, Divx/Xvid playback is awful, "blocky" is an understatement
Are there any other Linux distro's for PS3 I should try?
