  1. I had 2 avi files in which i used VDUB to paste on Subtitles then i joined the two files and then tried to convert the file and its out of sync the original source i think is PAL but does that matter when you are encoding to NSTC. It is out of sync by quite a bit. I tried playing around with the frame rate and no luck. It seems to be insync for the first 4 min then goes out of sync. Can someone PLEASE HELP!!!. THanks!

  2. unfortunatley converting PAL to NTSC is not as easy as just clicking an option in TMPGEnc.

  4. just curious but what the hell would the file format have to do with the framerate that is the obvious problem in converting?

simple answer... frame rates different, not good. framerates same, good.

if thats not enough of an answer i suppose you could actually read that thread.

  6. I have sometimes had problems with Virtual Dub subtitle filter together with DIVX to MPEG.

My personal solution: Encode first to MPEG (without subtitles), then open the resulting MPEG file in VirtualDub, add the subtitles and frameserve to TMPGEnc for the final result. Seems to work better that way for me.

    Cheers

load your avi in VirtualDub, select the file pull down menu and click Save Wav and you will get a wav file of the audio.

load your avi in VirtualDub and select direct stream copy in the video pull down menu. then select No Audio in the audio pull down menu. select save avi and you will get an avi file with no sound.

you could do it with TMPGEnc also, thats why they included that little stream type box in the program.

sorry for assuming you knew how to use VirtualDub and TMPGEnc, i seem to make the mistake of thinking that people might spend a few minutes looking into things or trying things on their own.
