If they are mvs and mkv then they are probably related to this :

In which case you may be out of luck.

Can you play them on anything at the moment ?

mVs is most likely the release group of the torrent, and the bits need to be unrared first.

Could it be (like Forum Troll suggests) it's in fact ????.mVs.avi and you have the option "hide extension of known file types" still active (a stupid Windows default)? Load the file in GSpot and post a screen shot.

If it is a visualisation then you wont be able to get it on your DVD. You will have to run it in musicmatch, screencap it, then encode it and create a DVD.

It may be that the MVS extension, not the format itself, is the real problem here. Trying renaming the extension on the file to AVI instead of MVS and see if that magically fixes the problem. I strongly doubt that your files are really and truly Mediamatch Jukebox Visualization format, but I suppose anything is possible.

If it is an ISO or disc image then mount it with daemon tools so you can see what's in it before you burn. You may have to extract it and convert it, but you can't while is still an image.

What do you now have ?

You have to remember that as good as we are, we cannot see your PC, and have little idea what you are doing unless you tell us. More detail is always better than less.
