Hi, this is my first post to this forum. How is everyone? I am going into this with no knowlege of converting files. Yesterday I bought a Nero 7 dvd burner. First one I ever had. I am trying to understand the process of converting video files and burning them. I downloaded a free version Winav to covert my files. I coverted four one hour episodes of Big Love tv show so I could burn too dvd. I tried to burn 1 episode but my burner say there was not enough space. I also notice that after I coverted the four video files my computor had much less space than before. Basically what I am asking is what do I do to covert my video files so I can burn and play on a home dvd player? I want to convert the files so I can use less dvd space as possible so I can store more video's on each dvd.

Converting to dvd-video usually require more space than divx/xvid avis. It's because divx/xvid uses a better compression than DVD. Buy a divx/xvid dvd player and you can burn the avis directly on a cd/dvd and watch them without any conversion.
But you can try ConvertXtoDVD, add all episodes and convert, burn.
(I guess you have divx/xvids....if you don't please give use more information about your source files.)
