Linux won't install

I have VirtualPC.
I have VMware Server.

I need

- a Linux with LAMP (linux apache mysql php)

- to convert an Access database to mySQL in Linux

- use myphpadmin (or something equal as easy, or even easier) to add a new db and add the sql-dump conversion into a new database

- to install a PHP forum in Linux and import my access-converted sql db (and I already know how to do this step just fine)

Help.

I tried to install Lamppix, but it won't connect online.
I tried to install Ubuntu Server, but I can't get a GUI to install.

I only want to download ISO files for Linux, I'm not doing torrents.

Try this.

It's a pre-configured LAMP stack VMWare image. If this doesn't work for you, I can dig up others.
