    Is it possible to convert a hd movie 720p or 1080p to a dvd and play it the xbox360 and still get the hd resolution??or do i have to get av hd dvd player?? or stream from my to the 360??

    dvd is 720/704 * 480, dvd's cannot be made in HD 720P or 1080i, that why there are the new blu-ray an HD formats and disc's

    does your 360 play dvix 6 files, then you can have ws-hd avi files in dvix and burn the avi file to the DVD-data disc and play the disc

    or shop for a dvix compatiable dvd player,
    lots of them on the market

    If you want HD, then you need the HD player (assuming you have an HD capable TV). There aren't any shortcuts.
