Easy now...I'm finding that, with the correct settings and AVISynth scripts, I'm getting results that are pretty good to my eyes. What would your recommendation be?Originally Posted by 45tripp

if you think you're onto something with MC,
i'm all ears.
although i'm fairly confident i could do better with any source you provide, using MC,
and it still wouldn't be good enough.
i've heard it said MC does well with colour. personally i can't see past all the blocks.
and to nip in the bud,
use a high enough bitrate, and everything and anything is good enough.

Well, maybe that's why I'm getting good results from it. I'm not scared of bitrate and use it generously. I'm also not scared of, and in fact prefer, DL discs.Originally Posted by 45tripp
My burners love them. I can get several episodes of TV shows or entire movies on them without skimping. My players - even the feniky one in our van - play them with ease.
I see a lot of recommendations for HC though. I'm going to give it a try.

I think it's funny that all you pc geniuses pretend that you're helping people...stick to what you're good at...making sarcastic remarks and belittling others who don't have hours on end to sit around and figure out complicated settings to make the video quality look a smidgen better.Originally Posted by mats.hogberg
I like TVC, I notice no video loss so I believe this topic should be locked "moderators".
