'Have you ever met anyone who said they bought a high def tv that was too big '
If you can afford the power for it, fine.
'so 32" for 600 with 1200 to1 C/R '
At that size you won't see much definition change. People say you need at least 37"?

Never listen to what 'people say' - don't they say it too?
Buy what you can afford. If $$$ is no problem - buy what suits you best.
And by any means DON'T get any ~100'' behemot screen if you live in a tiny apartment... and don't buy a micro-size screen if you live in a mansion either
Common sense man, thats all.
No one knows better what suits you and your wallet than YOU.
Whats the point of this discussion, sheesh... -

im glad to hear that. there is a great deal going on. free hd dvr upgrade and free install so no up front cost. i should have known that it was ok because the house is wired for botjh cable and SAT DUH. i never really noticed before.
Oh and now that ive had the 42 for a few weeks im thinking on taking it back this week and get the 50 inch lol.. the thing is it doesnt look as good to me and they are side by side on the floor. the 50 is plasma and hte 42 lcd. both the same source. its only a little more. i also found a 50" (i think) 1080P (might be 42) for just under 1300 name brand. it seemed like it was bigger than 42 thats what cought my attention
