I am getting a message on my monitor (home computer) that says something like - no input signal. I am not getting anything other than that and don't know what would cause it. Any help would be appreciated. Also, what would be the best spot to get this fixed in the Phoenix area?

I know this sounds obvious but it is plugged into the video out on the computer isn't it?

What the monitor is telling you is thatit is not recieving input from it's selected source.
It could be you have the cable plugged into the wrong socket on the back or you need to cycle through the input options until you find the one you are connected to.
Equally it could be simply that the plugs aren't pushed fully home.

If possible test you computer with another monitor and your monitor on another computer.
Without details of the monitor it's difficult to suggest anything else.
If it's under guarantee contact the sellerabout getting it fixed otherwise my experience has been it's cheaper to replace than fix (sad tho' it is to say in the environmentally aware days)

I checked to make sure that all connections were correct and pushed fully home. I checked the computer with another monitor and still received nothing. What could it be inside the computer that would cause it?

    That's not good news

When you power up the machine does it beep and/or flash the lights on the keyboard -
essentially does it appear to power up (except no output to the monitor)

If it does it might be the graphics card - although that in itself might mean a new Motherboard

If there are no beeps or flahing lights it suggests the Motherboard or processor or PSU has gone and you are into the fun of diagnosing what has actually failed.
Check to see if your drives power up and fans spin etc - if they do it's probably that the PSU is good.

Also check the fuses! I've spent many hours in the past diagnosing a non starting machine to discover the fuse was blown so there was no power to the machine
