I'm doing a capture from VHS with my AIW Radeon. The source tape I'm using is of poor quality. Its old and faded, and has some flaws on the edges that make the screen fold over or wobble a bit. It's not bad on my TV (watchable) but when I capture on the computer the flaws magnify and instead of a bit at the top half the screen will go ...uh... wonky.
I'm guessing theres not much I can do, but maybe theres some simple thing I'm missing. I'm using MMC 7.2 for the capture. I've got a t-bird 900 with 256 megs of ram running winXP. I'm not losing any frames in the capture (avi). I've tried mpeg as well, but it chunks down and I lose frames then.
Will capturing with a different program make a difference? If so any suggestions?
Thanx
