I know this topic has been discussed before and I am not even sure if this is the right place to post, but the articles that have tried using have failed with no results!
I created a audio DVD using Roxio DVD Creator everything came out successful!
My question is I would like to reverse the process and turn each chapter into an MP3 so I can put on an audio CD.
I used smart ripper and DVD decryptor, I created a ISO file
I selected the vob file that contain the chapters that I wanted to use then
I selected stream processing and clicked on the demux
I then started the process only ended up with one, 100 MB vob file
I also made sure that aC3 was selected
Any advice would be much appreciated or any free programs that would do the work for me,![]()

Original DVD
DVDDecrypter in IFO Mode
Select File Splitting By Chapter
Enable Stream Processing to demux video and audio(or even
eliminate the video all together)...that will leave you with
chaptered material.
I've had bad luck going from AC3 to MP3 directly. I go from AC3
to .wav first with AC3Tool .....then to MP3.
Others may chime in about a good AC3 to MP3 method.
And don't forget about 48 vs. 44.1 .wav files. It doesn't
make a difference on the computer but if you later want to make
an audio CD....you'll notice it immediately. -

While hech54's method will work, you don't really have to convert to MP3 to write an audio CD. WAV will work fine. Now whether or not you can figure out how to burn an audio CD using that POS program Roxio is another question. I hate Roxio - passionately. My brother used it for a long time and he had to do this awful crap of converting everything to MP3 first to copy it just because he couldn't figure out any other way to do it. I finally got him to start using Nero and it's a lot better for him. And yes, you must convert to 44.1 Khz to be valid for CD audio.
I'd advise ripping the audio as described and then using the free BeSweet GUI program to convert to WAV at 44.1 KHz. I hope that Roxio is smart enough to burn an audio CD from WAV input as converting AC3 -> MP3 is needlessly going to reduce your audio quality because Roxio is just going to conver the MP3 to WAV format anyway for burning, even if you don't see it do that. Converting directly to WAV avoids having to use lossy MP3 which is completely superfluous to what you want to do.
Friends don't let friends use Roxio. Your post is an excellent illustration as to why I say that. -

I still use Roxio Cover Creator...though it is the only part of my early Roxio
