Hello. I have been having some problems with my computer. For some unknown reason, I noticed that many of the default audio codecs were removed from my computer somehow. I found a way to reinstall the default audio codecs. I was unable to play WAV files, but after reinstalling the codecs as a website instructed, I was then able to hear WAV files as before.

Unfortunately, I have not found a way to reinstall default video codecs to allow uncompressed AVI playback. I use a program called FRAPS to take in-game video of Counter-Strike. Before, i was able to play these video files. Now, I am unable to. I am assuming that a Windows-default video codec is required to play these uncompressed AVI files. Does anyone know where, or how I can reinstall this? This is what I need, right? Thanks

  2. FRAPS use own codec.
Just reinstall FRAPS (include codec - required to play).

ffdshow can decode video files from FRAPS.

But not correct play FPS1 v5.
