Hey dudes and dudettes,
I bought a Hi8 camera, and it doesn't have a separate mic jack. We all know that the camera mics suck, so my question is this. How would I go about recording sound from something I am filming. On my old camera I had that mic jack and I could plug in a shotgun mic for awesome sound. What are my options? I heard about people that record music from their band or whatever on vcrs because apparently VHS tape has a good audio track or something. Should I use my VHS c camera to record audio while I record video on the Hi8? Could I capture them together in my computer and make sure I sync video to audio? I can't afford a DAT recorder so that is out of the question.
Thanks....
