  1. A few months ago I was trying to convert all these files from AVI and and forth to FLV and H.264... I didn't find anything here, but I ended up finding all these nifty little tools that pretty much do the job...

So I decided to write blog about it and share it with you guys... I'm not getting paid or anything like that, but I do understand the frustration when it comes to converting files when you don't have the right tools for the job...

Umm, While your effort is a good one,
I, along with several others here, have pointed
out all the tools necessary to do whatever it is
you need to do to achieve video conversion.

    To break down your article:

    Download Youtube Videos:
This can be done with Perian Installed in Quicktime,
and any numerous videodownloaders for Safari or Firefox.

    Extracting/Ripping Videos from DVDs

Numerous postings abound for using MacTheRipper(MTR),
and post proceessing its output with MPEGStreamclip,
Toast, DVD Studio Pro, VisualHub,iMovie, etc. Why didn't you find these?

    The Missing Video Links

    Nice enough nod about VisualHub.
Ffmpegx should also have been mentioned here.
And if you are going to mention
"missing video links" You should also talk about Perian,
and Flip4Mac's WMV Player, both of which are essential
    to everyday Mac video work/play/conversion.
Perian handles odd formats like FLV, MKV, OGM that abound on
the web, all natively in Quicktime.
Flip4Mac's WMV Player enables playback of WMV, WMA, and ASF
    files, again natively in Quicktime.

All of which have been discussed here time and time again.
