Hi! I dont know if this is the right forum, but IŽll give it a shot...
I bought a DVD- recorder with a HDD and it is supposed to play most formats.

This is my prob.. it wonŽt/cant play DVD-9. I tried to speak with LG support but they have
not returned my call. Is there someone out there who knows how to work around this slip?

    Best regards.

    It supports +R DL...not -R DL discs.

  3. You didn't give details. Any player/DVD recorder should play commercial Dual layer or they can't sell it as DVD. Burned DL support ? Look in the manual.

If it won't play Commercial DL DVDs it is broke.

Take it back and buy a brand with good support.

    To answer TBoneit.
I have returned it for a new one and soon I will see if it has the same problem.
Mooreover, LG says it should have full support for DVD-9. They will send me a report shortly
    about this issue.
The report is going to be availibe to everyone asap.

About 50% of the commercial double layer DVD's made by the Teaching Company cannot be read by my LG RH 277H, sent it back for repair, and nothing changed except that now the sound is missing. The same DVDs work on three other players. Does anybody have success with this problem?
