  1. Having downloaded an MP3 album from Audigalaxy I'm presented with a little problem. All 79 mins is shown as 1 track and is hence inconvienient for fast forwarding on a stand alone cd player. Can anyone recommend a simple piece of software that can enable me to configure other tracks to the album???? Many Thanks ......

  2. I usually use that basic wave editor bundled with Nero (it does MP3 too), but there might be some easier apps and someone might share the knowledge.

  3. I use Goldwave for my audio editing.

What you should do first is convert the MP3 file to WAV format. Winamp can do this for you. Once the music is in WAV file, Goldwave can edit it easily.

Use a search engine to search for Goldwave and where you can download the demo and any other files possibly needed.

  5. Use Cool Edit 2000 mate.

You dont have to convert it or anything like that.
It opens as mp3,edits as mp3,and saves as mp3.

Just open the track up then chop off what you dont want and save each individual track one at a time.

  6. mercuryrsng, dosen't the windows one limit you to 60 seconds recording time?

Call me thick if it dosen't but I was allways under the impression it did hence the fact that I never use it.

  7. Well I manged to do this in the end quite simply through Nero.....
You just right click on your file thats is to be burned (in audio wizard), select properties, then select the middle tab to split the files and zoom in on the wave file. Select the appropriate timings for each track and click on split. This took a little bit of fiddling round with to get right but hey presto, 1 complete cd with 14 tracks that plays perfectly.

  8. Windows Sound Recorder can only record up to 60 seconds, but it can edit any size file.

  9. Another tip, if you want to merge mp3z into 1 file you can use winzip. Open Winzip, add the files (in the right order!!!) with NO COMPRESSION.
Save the zip-file and rename to .mp3! That's it.
