Hi - Newbie here... although I have created UTube videos using camcorder.. this is the first time that I'm trying to pull video from family videos that are stored in VOB format. I can't seem to do it. A friend told me that I might be able to find the answer on this forum but I haven't found any reference of that on this site so I thought that I'd post a note.
Final Cut Express HD doesn't give any information about how to pull this data in for editing. If anyone has ever done it or has a clue. Id appreciate any advice you may have. I have over 50 hours of video of my children growing up and one of my boys sis getting married next month.. and I want to surprise the family with a chronlogical shsort video of him growing up.. and this is the only thing standing in the way.. (at least so far
Thanks in advance,
Dave

I'm not much of a Mac guy, but it seems like it would make sense converting your files to DV format using the excellent Mpegstreamclip utility. Try this on a short bit of file and see if it imports into FC.
