    I just updated my QT via software update and have now QT 7.2.0 player 7.2

    a lot of my QT files now won't play.

    On Intel OS 10.4.10

    all the files seem to play on VLC player 0.8.6

    any idea on how to approach this? was there some Codec that the newer QT does not recognize

    any and alll help much appreciated

    numerous issues abound with QT 7.2.
    I stayed at QT 7.16 just because of this.

    7.2 works fine here..On intel and PPC Mac's...Try to reinstall latest Perian /1.0/ and WMV player components...

    Id like to try the Serb's ideas first.

    Ive downloaded Perian

    What WMV components did you meamn?

    That component is for Windows Media Video and audio files only, if you need to play those...Perian should take care of all the rest...
