My sister updated Norton Anti Virus on her computer (the update never worked btw), afterward when she tried to open her quickbooks 2005 she receivedthe error message "The Sensapi.dll file is missing" I'm not sure what to do. I uninstalled the dreaded Norton Antivirus, tried to repair, then uninstall, then reinstall quickbooks, but I keep receiving the same error message. What can I do?? I even tried downloading the Sensapi.dll file, placing it in the quickbooks folder, but then I receive the message "The Sensapi.dll file is linked to missing export NTDLL.DLL:RtllnitAnsiString" Are these problems a result of the dreaded Norton Antivirus? She is running an old computer. Windows 98, Celeron processor. Thanks for your input.....

  2. Sensapi.dll is a Windows system file. It should be in your \windows\system folder. You probably downloaded one from XP or Win2K (hence the NTDLL.DLL problem). You'll need one from a Win98 system.

Thank you. I suspected the file may be a windows file rather than a Quickbooks one. I also suspect that Norton lies at the root of the problem. I seem to recall the program being good years ago, but it seems their products now are resource hogs, hard to get rid of, and screw up other programs. Good times..... Any idea where I can download this file for a windows 98 system?
