I have read all the conversion guides and most of the newbie forum, and I cant find an answer to my problem. I am trying to convert Training Day from avi to mpeg so I can burn it to VCD. I had sound problems, so I converted through VirtualDub to a WAV file. Thought it was all figuered out and no, it will convert for about 15 min and then I get the illegal floating decimal point error. What is the problem. Maybe I am not converting right when I use Virtual Dub. When using Virtual Dub do I just click file open, open the file and then click file save to WAV? This only takes about 2 mins and I can hear the file when I play it on a player. Or do I need to let it run through the whole movie through preview (where it says dub in progress)? I am totally confused. Any insight would be greatly appreciated!!
