Compaq Preserio Mass Storage Problem

Ok some help please. I reformated my friends PC. He has the Compaq Presario 6010US system. I went to HP and downloaded drivers. But I can't seem to fix the Mass Storage drivers. When i go to device manager the yellow question mark is on. I can't seem to figure out where to download those drivers. I tried all the drivers in Hp, but can't seem to find this one. Any thoughts. Thanks.

Does this computer have a PCI CONTROLLER CARD? Usually older computers can't use the bigger capacity hard drives so a PCI CONTROLLER card is added via PCI SLOT.

yes it has a PCI Controller card. But I cannot tell which one is it to get the drivers.

Just unplug the power supply then open up the computer and pull out the PCI CONTROLLER CARD. Look at the card to see who's the manufacturer. I suspect it could be a PROMISE or SILICON image chipset controller card. None the less both chipsets have different drivers. That's the only way to find out by pulling the controller card.

I did a Belarc report before anything. And it shows Silicon Image SiI 3512 SATALink Controller, but i dont know which one from the bottom site.

I believe you'll need to download the just the sata driver.
