I think my two year old programmed my Phillips 642/37 DVD player when he was playing with the remote. We cannot turn it on although the red standby light is on. When you push any other button the DVD player simply turns off. What did my toddler do?

My husband already did try that, but I'll try it again. Is there a list of "secret" codes somewhere?

Actually, if you're going to try unplugging it to reset it, I recommend leaving it unplugged for at least thirty minutes... more, if you prefer, even overnight.

The only 'codes' I've seen for the 642 are the ones that let you change/view the region settings and firmware information. I don't think there are any 'factory reset' codes (at least, any that we know about), and the codes also don't seem to work on any of the newer 642s.If cameras add ten pounds, why would people want to eat them?
