I want to run about 40' from sat dish to computer--anyone have a good idea for lowest loss of signal?

I don't have any idea, but I would think whatever you do, make sure both the audio and video cables are the same length.
It probably is just trial and error. I did run a 30' composite and RCA to a Hauppage card before. But, it was a short capture, so I don't know if it'd fluctuate on long ones.
Sorry I couldn't be of more help.~~~Spidey~~~

hey thx--its a start
at least I know 30' will work, I don't expect 40' will be a prob.
