    I'm not sure if this is normal...But when I import an .avi file, it only plays the audio. I'm not sure what to do about it..Can anyone help?

    I used that...And I'm not too sure what part it is that says what kind..

    Vegas doesn't like Divx/Xvid source (and fair enough to - it is an end user playback format, not a nice editable source).

    Make sure you have both Xvid and Divx installed.

    Use FourCC Changer to change the FourCC code to Xvid and try that instead (it is currently set to Divx).

    Change the FourCC Used Codec (bottom field) to Xvid and apply it.
