Hi, I was showing my friend how to burn audio cd's on his vista laptop. Everything burns fine except when you play it on a cd player nothing plays at all. We even tried playing the cd on a dvd player but still nothing plays.

I used nero to burn the cd and then tried windows media player. Anyone got suggestions on what I can use? Thanks.

  2. In nero, did you choose Audio CD or Data CD?

If you look at the CD in Explorer, what files do you see?

I'm pretty sure I chose audio cd. I use nero all the time on my xp comp and click audio cd every time.

I don't have the cd with me. But if you're asking what type of files I used I recall them being mp3 files.

If you look at the disc in windows explorer, what do you see ?

Have you tried again, or just stopped and waited for two weeks ?

I use nero to burn audio cd's in Vista without any problems. Mayb you should try the freeware Burrrn application (http://www.burrrn.net/?page_id=4) and see if that helps.

I'll have to get the disc again from my friend when I go to his house and check that out.

I haven't tried again, haven't been to his house ever since I posted this.

Could it be a problem with his burner? Has he got a virus or spyware problem... not sure what it could be.
