I recently bought a Sony BRC 300 camera. I also bought the BRBK-301 card that goes in this camera (it's similar to putting a graphics card into your computer) so that instead of it's standard S-Video and composit, the BRBK-301 allows it to do "analog RGB output". The terminal that they have on the card is a 9 pin (DE9) d-subminiture connection (see this for reference). I need to go to a regular 15 pin vga signal to display on a computer monitor. I was told by tech support before I bought this that it was possible with only the adapter. I bought a simple 9-pin to 15 pin (VGA) adapter and it doesn't appear to be translating the signal correctly. Has anyone dealt with these connections/signals before and have any wisdom to share. Thank you.

  2. I don't know that camera or the adaptor card, but I suspect it is putting out RGB with standard video timing (29.97 fps interlaced). Most computer monitors will not sync that low.
