    Hi,

I have a question regarding 3:2 pulldown (have read a little about it, but not sure when to use it).

Do I ever need 3:2 pulldown when using PAL? Or is 3:2 only applicable to NTSC?

If applicable when using PAL, when do I have to enable it?

It is only used for transfering film (24fps, after adjustment to 23.976) to NTSC TV framerate (29.97fps). You'll never need setting 3:2 in encoder when working with PAL.

However the concept of Pulldown (although not 3:2 or 2:3 pulldown) can be used to simplify the encoding of 23.976 fps material to 25 fps for PAL.
