Hi,
I have tried AVI2DVD to convert AVI to MPG, at least this is what I want.
I am using HCenc but when the conversion is finished the MPG is not there but instead VOB files.
I can see that a MPG is generated during the conversion but in the end it is not present anymore.
Is there any way to keep the MPG when using HCenc in AVI2DVD??

Exactly! It's not hard. Download avisynth and fitcd (to create a simple avisynth script). Load the avs into hc. Set bitrate, aspect ratio, Encode away. Resulting file is video only m2v. Process audio seperately.Originally Posted by redwudz

Yea do it manually. Use fitcd for the avisynth script or use notepad or avsp to produce it yourself....and feed it to hcenc for the video. And use a separate standalone audio encoder like besweet or aften for the audio. And mux the streams using mpegvcr, mpeg video wizard, tmpgenc, bbmpeg, etc.Originally Posted by blizzery

FAVC has an option to "keep working files" and you can use a muxer to mux video(.m2v) and audio(.ac3) into an mpeg file for the files in the working folder.
I dunno if avi2dvd has this option like favc though.
