SVCD on LG-DVD 4941P

Hi there

I would like to know weather the LG-DVD-4941P can play SVCDs, DVD-R, DVD-RW and DVD+RW discs? I checked up this model and discovered that the UK version (4950) does not support VCD, but then, VCD is not allowed in the Uk and this option is disabled there, where in South Africa it is enabled. Could thw two models be different in support for SVCD?

I hope somebody can answer this question. I am about the buy this DVD player.

bought my LG-DVD in Germany,couldn't play any type of VCD so swapped it for a Grundig Xenaro...good buy
